Still night

This piece was inspired by my first ideas from brainstorming.  First I wanted to do a futuristic scene with a futuristic stylized furniture. But somehow some computers didn't like it and destroyed my disks with the objects.  Therefore I had to remake objects and decided to go with an easier eye-pleasing piece.

I decided to remake my desk at home made by M & M manufacturing company. I stuck pencils into the desk because I had to put action into the scene.  The scene was to quite so I included that intended chaos into the peaceful scene of a lonely desk with two lamps.  I really wanted to play with reflections so I had my desk with high reflections with everything reflecting everywhere, and also a mirror in the background to tie everything up.

One problem that I encountered was using planar texture mapping. For my purposes it didn't show the texture correctly so then I made it cubic then it turned out fine.

Textures: Were found on various internet sights.

Render time: range from 20-45 minutes at medium anti-aliasing at 640x480.
