Metallic Blue

My inspiration came from my inclination. When I thought what kind of desk I wanted to create, I imagined the metallic desk because I like it. After that I created the objects, which fit with the desk. This room is the image of my ideal boyfriend's room. If my boyfriend lived in the room like this, I would be happy. I like the guy who likes metallic and simple furniture, playing guitar, smoking, and drinking. I used blue light as room light because I hope my boyfriend likes blue, and also I think the blue light reflecting on the desk is beautiful. My inclination is the guy who has those tastes.

Problems and Solutions:

The problem I had is how I can bend the object like wave. To create the desk lamp, I could not curve the support of the lamp, as I wanted. I tried bend tool to curve it at first, but it was useful only when I want to curve the object once. I could not create the two peaks in one object. So, I tried the bend tool with selecting parts of polygon next. But when I did so, the joint part broke.
Finally, I searched the Internet tutorial, and find how to create the pipeline. That was the shape I want to create. Solution is that at first make a spline with pen tool, which the shape I want, and use the rail exclude tool with the polygon I want. I used the circle polygon. The rail exclude tool stretches the polygon automatically along the spline. Attention is I had to put the spline at the center of the polygon I want to stretch. Otherwise, the polygon twisted.
