Background
This was a relatively simple scene, but I had difficulty using Layout to save my renderings. I also had trouble finding the texture controls. I actually liked the affect the planar image had on the floor, so I left it that way. I may improve on it later. Sometimes I forgot to save the key frame and had to do the work over again, which can be very frustrating.
I liked the modern glass look for the table, but I wanted to offset that so I put in an older style lamp. I didn't want to sit the pencil on the table so I put it in the glass. I may make the lampshade more realistic as I go along. I spent most of my time getting the scene arranged and not as much in the textures of the objects. I also used a digital photograph that I took with a borrowed digital camera, to create the background. The photograph is of a flowerbed out in front of Ayres hall.
I think, overall, that this project went well, except for the floor. It could have been darker in my opinion..
