We Both Feel The Same

Young Child: "When I talk to you, it heals all my pain,
But I better get home 'cause it's starting to rain."
Old Man: "I'm starting to shiver, it must be getting cold,
Or maybe it's just me, I'm getting real old."
Young Child: "I'm very confused, life's not going my way."
Old Man: "You're still very young, you should cherish each day."
Young Child: "I don't understand, what's the purpose of life?"
Old Man: "You will get a job later, and a house, and a wife."
Young Child: "I go to school ever day and it's not fun at all."
Old Man: "Other people my age are always so dull."
Young Child: "I try to act older, I wear a suit and a tie."
Old Man: "I try to act young, I keep my energy high."
Young Child: "But I have to face reality, that i'm still a kid."
Old Man: "And people told me to act my age, so I did."
Young Child: "And just when I think that life couldn't be worse . . . "
Old Man: "And just when I feel that life's getting off course . . . "
Both: "You make me feel better by holding me close."
