Current Course Offerings for Fall 2009:

CSCI 101 –
Introduction to Computer Science. Students who
have had limited experience with computers should take CSCI 101 before CSCI
111. CSCI 101 provides an overview of the fundamentals of computer science.

CINS 370 – Introduction to Databases
(Formerly CSCI 470). The prerequisite for
this course is CSCI 311 with a grade of C- or higher. This course provides an
introduction to the theory and methodology for database design and
implementation. Topics may include a survey/lecture component as well as a
project component.

|
CSCI 490– Directed
Programming Experience. The prerequisite for this course is CSCI 311
with a grade of C- or higher and Senior Standing. This
capstone course provides a culminating activity or ‘Senior Project’in
computer science.

CINS 574 –
Advanced Oracle Architecture and Administration: DBA Workshop I featuring
Oracle 11g. The prerequisite for this course is CINS 370 with a grade
of C- or higher. Students will have
control over their own server and will create and administer their own Oracle
11g database as well as learn how to tune and backup their database. |
