Contract and Pledge Sheet

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. You should keep a copy of the Policies on Programming Assignments handy. This guarantees that you are aware of what the expectations are regarding the format of your Assignments and how they have to be submitted.

  2. You are expected to have a copy of the Programming Assignment specifications. It is your responsibility to fully understand the requirements and features of the Project you are implementing for this Assignment.

  3. All students are responsible for maintaining copies of all files submitted. This guarantees the existence and availability of back-ups in case some or all of these files get lost, accidentally modified or deleted.

  4. Make sure that you turn in your programs in time. Late programs will strictly not be accepted.

  5. This is not a group project. You must work individually.

    • Collaborative work is strictly prohibited. Asking classmates or other people for help in solving class problems (programs, homework, or exams) is considered as academic dishonesty. Discussions outside of class must be limited to the algorithmic level. If you are not sure whether any activity is acceptable, consult your Instructor for verification.

    • No assistance may be given by anyone other than the Instructor (and when appropriate, the Graduate Teaching Assistant) of this class. Due to the apparent lack of clarity, the term "assistance" means any help or discussion regarding the implementation of this or future programs.

    • You are assumed to turn in your own work and not the work of another person nor a group of people. It is not necessary to cite the texts for the course as reference, but other literature consulted in developing solutions to any of the class problems should be referenced precisely. Failure to cite sources that contributed substantially to the solution of a class problem is considered as academic dishonesty.

CSU, Chico's Policies for Prohibited Conduct and Sanctions, published in the University Catalog, will be strictly enforced. Any infraction of the aforementioned guidelines will be considered an infraction of the University's Code of Students' Rights and Responsibilities. Such infractions will be dealt with according to Executive Order 628 (Student Disciplinary Procedures for The California State University).

PLEDGE:

I have neither given assistance nor received assistance from any unauthorized source during the preparation of this Programming Assignment.
