as the computer science department's assessment coordinator, i
developed and maintained the assessment
pages in our department website. i
supervised the
administration of the major field test
(mft)
in computer
science, a standardized assessment tool. i have also been gathering
results
and monitoring trends since spring 2002, and i post the latest
results on the mft page in our department website.
acm pacific northwest regional programming
contest, programming teams, 2007-08 through 2009-10
i have also been the faculty adviser/coach of the chico state student teams for the acm pacific northwest regionals programming contest
from spring 2007 through spring 2010. i continue to assist in our team
practices for the annual regional competiton, at least through programming contest mock-ups in my classes.
college and university
last july 2010, i was appointed associate dean for the college
of ecc. then, in august 2011, i was appointed
interim chair of the department of eece (0.25 appointment) in addition
to my increased role as associate dean (0.75 appointment).
i am a member of
the university's academic assessment council (aac), (second
term) chair of the university technology advisory committee (utac,
since fall 2006; chair, fall 2008 - present) and i was a member of the
university enrollment management advisory
committee (emac, fall 2007 - spring 2010).
i have also served as a member of the celt advisory
board (fall 2005 through spring 2008) and two consecutive
3-year terms at chico state's
academic senate as
senate representative of the college of ecc from august 2000 through
may 2006.
