i am a tenured, associate professor of computer science.
at california state university, chico. i have a bachelor of science
in computer science from the university of the philippines at los
baños (UPLB),
and an
m.s. and ph.d. in computer science from the florida state university
(FSU)
in tallahassee,
florida. i was also awarded a certificate in cognitive science
from FSU's institute for cognitive sciences in 1993.

have been teaching college-level classes since
1986.
prior to joining the faculty ranks at chico state in the Fall of 1998,
i was assistant professor of computer science at
coastal carolina university (CCU) in myrtle
beach, south carolina from july 1994. Before that, i was visiting
assistant professor of
computer science at the university of north florida (UNF) in
jacksonville from july 1993. i taught undergraduate computer science
classes at CCU, and both undergraduate and graduate computer science
classes at UNF.

i love participating in equine sports (trail riding, play
days), mountain bike rides,
water sports (wakeboarding and water skiing), and snow sports
(snowboarding) with my family and friends ...
