Prerequisite: C- or better in CSCI 311 Algorithms and Data Structures

Course Description: This course is a comprehensive introduction to the major technologies used in the construction of interactive web sites. Emphasis is placed on the standards used to define the structure, style, and behavior of web pages, and the protocols used for the exchange of data between client and server. Both client and server side implementation methods are covered using a variety of programming and scripting languages for the creation of dynamic web pages in multi-tier web applications.

Attendance: You will be held responsible for all material covered in lectures, reading assignments, and programming assignments.

Grading: Your grade will be based on the following:

Assignments 40%
Quizzes 10%
Midterm 20%
Final 30%

Assignments: There will be multiple programming assignments. You should familiarize yourself with the programming assignment expectations. Graduate students taking this course are required to complete an additional assignment.

Quizzes: There will be several quizzes, which you will be required to take online.

Exams: There will be one midterm and a final, both of which you will be required to take online.

Final Grade Assignment: Your letter grade will be based on the percentage of the available points you earn in the course, as follows (grad students are only assigned A-C or F):
