Nemisis first album cover. The album contains 9
tracks.
Nemisis is a collaboration of riffs, rhythms, and
structures ideas from Gray, Aaron, Jay, and Mike. They work hard on their
music and make sure every second is heart-felt and real. Nemisis is
working on recording at Cloud 9 studios and hopes to have a decent demo
out ASAP.
Jay takes pride in his Crate Excaliber
Jay is a big animal with an unquenchable need for speed,
crunch, weight, and melody. His skills have improved over time since he
took over lead and rhythm guitars. His aggression is both fatal and
relentless. His influences vary from
White Zombie to Metallica to 2Pac. Jay is also well
known for his mean faces in the middle of playing any song he wrote. His parents put up with our noise for a year before Aaron joined and we relocated jam sessions to Aaron's and also deserve big thanks
!
Gray growls as Nemisis tears it up at the Cancer
Walk
Gray plays bass and sings. He used to be known for throwing his mop around at gigs and sometimes in between. Now he's cut his hair and has resorted to body language. His lyrics come from his heart and are inspired by his past
grievances and many dreams. His friend Malia inspires in him both
music and lyrics. Gray also writes songs. A good example is
"Regret", a song about a dream he had...about Malia. He has been singing
since he could speak and loves attention. His parents have been
instrumental in his music education.
Mike, the speed demon, at his first gig with
Nemisis
Mike is a creative, aggressive guitarist. He has only
added to Nemisis since he joined. His style is varied from blues to jazz
to classical to strait metal shred and all creative lack of boundaries in
between. Formerly of Inua, Mike seemed eager to add to this tight
machine. He also has cut his hair, but there's no mistaking that when you
hear the solos on our demo that it's Mike. His most notable creation is
the 2nd solo in "Regret". Since Mike joined, Nemisis has become heavier
and more relaxed. He himself deserves a great big thanx!
Aaron gets wicked
Aaron is a Class of 2000 student at Pleasant Valley High
School. When he first joined Nemisis his style was very punk, but with a
little guidance and the critical ears of Jay and Gray, Aaron's drumming
has become more dynamic, heavier,
and just overall better. His drum solo in "God Forbid"
is typical of his "crack-baby" aggressive approach. Aaron's parents
Lauren and$
have been very supportive of Nemisis and deserve a great big
thanks!
