Course Materials:         Operating System Concepts 7th Edition, Silberschatz, Galvin, and Gagne, Wiley, ISBN 0-471-69466-5

Course Description:     An overview of operating system architecture and software from the kernel outwards including process management, storage management, deadlock, files, concurrency, and protection.

Projects:                        Satisfactory completion of two programming projects is required. All assignments must be submitted by the due date and must constitute original work. C++ or Java are preferred, but other languages approved in advance by the instructor may be used.
