| - The art of mosaic, in one form or another, has been practiced for thousands of years, but mosaic as we know it was invented by the Greeks, who then passed their skills on to the Romans. Many ancient mosaics have survived the ravages of time remarkably well.
- In this project you'll create a photo-mosaic consisting of small pictures called cell images. When viewed from a distance, you can see a main image. Other names for photo-mosaic are image-montage or photo-tiled image.
- In this project you will be taking a series of photos with a reoccurring theme. Your main source image must be consistent with that theme.
- You will need to take a series of 250 or more photos to fulfill this requirement. All the photos used in this project must be photographed by you, including your main image.
- Set your camera’s resolution to a lower setting for example: 1280x1024 or 1024x768.
- Turn in your project in a bitmap format no less than 2000x2000 pixels and place it in a folder called Photo-mosaic with your name attached. Also include the main and source images that were used in the project. Project must be turned in on a CD.
- Write a 1 page paper explaining the concept for your project. What was the idea or theme for your project? Explain what images were used? What were you trying to achieve?
