Hi/Fn (Stac) *AND* V.42bis compression over ISDN

Both a 10BaseT and AUI ethernet interface
ML/PPP
BACP
BOD


Not so good Points:

Caller ID is NOT supported on the POTs ports (no FSK generator on either unit)

Omni TA128:

OmniTA 128 comes highly rated from several people both in the industry and from users out on the net as a cheap and good performing serial-based T/A. A few of it's noteworthy highlights are:

Good Points:

460.8K Serial port speed support (lower latency)
A built-in Q.931 and ML/PPP protocol analyser
(2) serial ports for sharing one ISDN BRI between TWO seperate computers (neat trick)!
(2) POTs ports
Hi/Fn (Stac) *AND* V.42bis compression over ISDN
ML/PPP
BACP
BOD


Not so good Points:

No support for address masqurading
It has been reported to me by a very reliable source that if the unit is connected with BOTH B-channels running in Async-2-Sync mode and the remote side abruptly hangs up, the the Omni TA will no longer be able to send PPP traffic out its BRI interface and must be power cycled to fix it.
