Looking thru the album of my life
Seeing so many people who have crossed my path
Leaving different imprints
Turning from one page to page
Each image having its own story
An underlying current linking them throught
Smiley faces.... Goofy grins
A serious moment.... a shared hug
A tear gliding down my tanned cheek
Memory after memory flickering thru my mind
Slowly.. turning.. looking...

Splattering upon the page
Gently wiping the moisture aside
Feathering my finger across the faces
A happy you and I
Looking so sweet and friendly
Although knowing my heart wants more
Sighing
Knowing it will never be more
Wiping the Tears Away
Flipping the pages..
Empty now
Soon to be filed with more memories
One last fleeting look at what could have been
Slowly closing the book
As the lock on my heart echoes its closure
