The Oldest Known Joke

The following comes from Justin Wells.
This amuses me, I read it recently, forget who wrote it. Paraphrase:

The oldest known joke, found written on the wall of an ancient city goes like this:

Summerians are stupid. Ha ha.

Eventually some brilliant comedian took this primitive form and modernized it, the only difference being the simple addition of a lightbulb.
