I don't know if it will run under 3.0. But you can get the source code and give it a try. The C++ version, if ever implemented, would be at Ohio State. You will have to contact John Josephson there for it (jj@cis.ohio-state.edu). I will bundle together the Peirce code for you to FTP. You will need to load the Generic Task Toolset (Fafner release) into memory first, and then load the Peirce files. THere is a load-peirce file. You can also compile the Peirce code and use a load-peirce-compiled file as well. The Peirce code was never "released" officially and therefore is not all that well put together for other people's use. For instance, you will find some code commented and other code possibly uncommented. Also, there are two versions of a couple of the files which were used for different purposes (two propagation files, one called propagation.cl and one called prop.cl, two abduction-machine files). I guess you will have to take a look at the code and then if you have specific questions, you can ask me. You can ftp the code from mesquite.cs.panam.edu from ~ftp/pub/FOX/AI/PEIRCE The entire set of code is there as ascii common lisp files. Again, let me know if you have questions or problems. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Richard Fox | email: Department of Computer Science | fox@cs.panam.edu The University of Texas-Pan American | WWW home page: Edinburg, TX USA | http://www.cs.panam.edu/~fox/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "Bebop scholars unite" -- Frank Zappa
