Studying for Tests

  1. Look at each lesson's outline ("Assigned" links on course schedule) and see if you understand the terminology and significance of each line, if not, review the lessons for that material

  2. Do the self-help quiz for each lesson. Where are they again?

  3. When you take the tests at http://www.ecst.csuchico.edu/~amk/foo/csci111/sampleExams.html see if you can tell by their answers if you understand why that was the answer (by the way, this is a really good way to study whether you fail it or not since then you learned what it was that you did not know)

  4. Look at the labs and see if you understand how the lab matches the material in the lesson. What was it that you were supposed to learn from doing the lab?

  5. Prepare a (single) page of notes for important aspects that you think are significant to help you remember
