I cannot believe these people who write Java books and put them online! Please support them and buy their products!
Hmmm, a couple years later and many links do not work anymore - no wonder I could not believe it! But it does say it is on Safari and we are supposed to get it free on campus

Geary and Horstmann: Core Java Server Faces has most the book in pdf files and a lot of very nice links to information.
Snicker - the page has a CGI script in Perl

JSF parts, software installation (pg4), first example(pg 7), build (pg 11) etc etc.

Also note in Ch 2 Beans (page 41) value binding expressions in jsf use #{} (can be used as reader and writer when used in an input component) rather than EL of JSTL ${} (always a getter)
