UPE offers free tutoring for computer science students during the semester. We are available Monday through Thursday in the Bit Bucket - OCNL 133A (located inside OCNL 136 - Open Computer Lab).

UPE has partnered with the O'Reilly publishing company to secure an expansive library of books to help the computer science student at CSUC. Students can come into the Bit Bucket (OCNL 133A) to read and learn about topics ranging from google hacks to practical C++ programming. Titles include:

Survival Guide

The Computer Survival Guide is an ongoing effort by the members of UPE to provide a comprehensive overview of the various introductory programming basics for new computer science students. The survival guide includes information on how to access ECT servers, how to use Putty, useful unix commands, and basics for html, sql, vb, java, and c++.
