Design
This year Chico State will be designing a new frame, and integrating self-designed suspension. We will be utilizing much of the same drive train as last year. Using SolidWorks we will do computer simulations on our design using Cosmos.
Fabrication
We’ll be doing most of the fabrication at a team member’s personal shop. We will also utilize the CSUC machine shop where we’ll have access to a CNC mill, Lathes and of course, a variety of metal working: cutters, benders, and welders. Our top priority is to finish the car earlier so we can ensure its durability through vigorous testing.
