Master of Science in
Electrical and Computer Engineering (MSECE)
Electronics Option
The MS
in Electrical and Computer Engineering with an Electronics
Option is designed primarily to serve those
students who wish to expand their knowledge of
traditional electrical engineering principles
and to apply this knowledge to the design of
high frequency circuits and systems. This
knowledge can serve as preparation for a
doctoral program or an intermediate level
position in industry.
The
master's degree requires 30 semester units
beyond the baccalaureate, including at least 21
units in electrical engineering. Either a
thesis plan or a comprehensive examination plan
may be chosen. Active areas of study and
research in the Department currently include
high speed analog and digital electronics,
continuous and discrete-time control systems,
digital signal processing, and
electro-optics.
