Greetings Fellow Chico State Electrical
and Computer Engineering Alumni:
Over the years our beloved
department has gone through some major changes. From the
advent of the transistor to the witness of the digital era,
Chico State Alumni have been influential in helping lead the
way. From Silicon Valley to Hong Kong, hundreds of alumni
got their foundations at Chico State.
Unfortunately, we have not
done as good of a job at keeping in touch with each other
and our alma mater as we should have. In the coming months
and years, you will be hearing more from us about our plans
for the future of this association. With your help we can
strengthen our alumni network, find lost classmates, and
improve the current status of the ECE department.
In 2004, former department
chair Larry Wear retired and was succeeded by our current
chair, Dr. Adel Ghandakly. Dr. Ghandakly has made a strong
effort to help restore Chico State to its position as
leading ECE department in the state of California, by adding
dozens of new workstations, purchasing new lab equipment,
creating the first Master of Science in Electrical and
Computer Engineering (MSECE) in California, and offering a
greater variety of courses available.
As products of the ECE
department, your feedback, advice and support are very
valuable to the continued success of our department. We
would really like to hear from you. Please contact us
directly or click on the “Send Contact Info" link on the
left menu, and let us know where you are and what you're
doing. Or feel free to call the department office at
530-898-5343.
Sincerely:
Jonathan Graham, ECE Alumni Association Co-Chairman,
Class of 2007
Ron Call, ECE Alumni Association Co-Chairman, Class
