Responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a major phase of the California Pavement Preservation (CP2) Center at California State University, Chico. The work will involve providing expert consulting services and technology transfer to state highway departments, local agencies, industry, federal agencies, and universities. Seminars, courses, and workshops must be organized and presented on the subject of pavement preservation. Tasks will include review and development of guidelines and specifications, failure investigations, and the evaluation of pavement preservation innovations. Work may include supervising undergraduate and graduate students working on pavement research and solving practical pavement preservation problems. Working closely on the development and updating of specifications with the Center’s technical advisory panel and the Pavement Preservation Task Group (PPTG), and participating on technical panels and committees both in California and possibly nationally, is expected.
