To receive academic credit in MECH 389, MECA 389, or MFGT 389 for an industrial internship, you must:
1. Receive prior approval on a MECA 389, MECH 389, or MFGT 389Request for Industrial Internship Approval form. 2. Complete at least 400 hours of work as described on the Approval form. 3. During the semester in which you complete the work or in the semester immediately thereafter, enroll in MECA 389, MECH 389, or MFGT 389 through the Department office. 4. Receive a satisfactory evaluation from your supervisor on an Employer Internship Evaluation form. 5. Submit an evaluation of the internship on a Student Evaluation of Internship form. 6. For MECA 389 or MECH 389, submit a satisfactory formal memorandum to the course instructor describing what you did during the internship and what you learned from the experience. 7. For MFGT 389, make a satisfactory presentation to a group of manufacturing technology students as prescribed by the Manufacturing Technology Internship Coordinator.
