In addition Mechanical Engineering majors use the Fluid Mechanics Lab administered by the Department of Civil Engineering and the Circuits Lab administered by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Mechatronic Engineering majors also use a variety of labs administered by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
The Mechanical and Mechatronic mission statements include "providing students a high-quality undergraduate engineering education with . . . facilities and equipment that are readily available . . ." Starting April 7, 2008, and for the remainder of the Spring 2008 semester, the Computer-Aided Design Lab (OCNL 438), Mechatronics/Intelligent Systems Lab (OCNL 431), and Design Workshop (OCNL 432) will be open Monday thru Friday evenings. The labs will be monitored by student volunteers and will be available to all ME, MECA, and MFGT majors and others currently enrolled in ME, MECA, or MFGT courses. Click here for details.
Students majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or Manufacturing Technology are entitled to an account on the College computer network. Each account allows a limited number of pages to be printed on the printer in O'Connell 438. To print additional pages:
1. Purchase a print card at the Customer Service Desk in the Associated Students Bookstore. Ask for a College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Construction Management (ECC) print card. A card costs $16.00 and is good for 200 printed pages.
