  • Mary Stroup-Gardiner began work as a full time Senior Pavement Preservation Engineer on January 2, 2008.

  • Additional staff are expected to be hired in 2008. See employment opportunities.
  • A strategic planning meeting with the PPTG was held in Sacramento, California on August 29-30, 2006 to establish the work program for the Center for the first three years. For more information, please contact the Center office.
  • The California Pavement Preservation Center started setting up shop on July 1, 2006 at California State University, Chico. It is funded by Caltrans and works closely with the Pavement Preservation Task Group (PPTG). The Center is directed by Professor Thomas Ferrara, with Dr. R. Gary Hicks serving as the Chief Technical Director.
  • A kickoff meeting for the center was held on September 28, 2006 at California State University, Chico. Participants included Caltrans personnel, members of the PPTG, FHWA and others. [Click here to see photos from the event.]
