Tim Hostettler is the General Manager of A&A Concrete Supply, based in Sacramento and operating ready mix plants in Sacramento, Tracy, Stockton, Fairfield, Lincoln, Yuba City and Chico. He started in the concrete industry in 1986 as a laborer on the concrete crew of a small but vertically integrated ready mix company in Chico. Having some mechanical and heavy equipment background, he quickly worked his way up to loader operator, truck mechanic, ready mix driver, dispatcher and batchman. In 1992, the small company was acquired by A&A Concrete Supply, and in 1999 Tim took over Chico plant as the Plant Manager. In 2005, Tim was appointed General Manager, answering directly to Company President and mentor Bob Perrine. In 2008, Tim began teaching classes for the Concrete Industry Management program at Chico State, including the Facilities Management class in the Fall Semester and the Sustainability class in the Spring semester. When not working at one of his jobs, Tim can usually be found casting dry flies to rising trout on quiet mountain streams around his hometown of Chico, where he still resides with his family.
