The Clearance in the Major form (a.k.a., Grad Check) must be completed by each student during the semester prior to his/her final year of study. For example, if you plan to graduate at the end of spring 2008, you should file this form midway through spring 2007.
This form is used by the campus evaluators to determine when a student has completed all major program requirements for graduation.
If, after this form has been submitted, a student decides to take a different class than s/he specified on the Clearance in the Major form, a second form must be completed to substitute the different course. Any student who forgets to do this will not be allowed to graduate until the substitution has been recorded by way of this form!
