Code or GUI Review Instructions

Prior to class make enough copies of the Code or GUI Review scenario sheets and the Follow-up sheets for everyone to get a copy.  The students will work through the review exercises in their existing project groups. To present or review they will be paired with another group.

Hand out the Code or GUI Review scenario sheets well in advance of the class period in which you want the students to do the review exercise.  The advanced notice should give them enough time to decide what piece of the project they will present, get it implemented (if it is not already implemented), and prepare for their presentation.  Make sure the students know how much time they are allotted for the review and that their presentation should take up only a small part of that time.

On the day of the exercise, pair up the project groups.  For 20 to 30 minutes allow one group to present to the other and be reviewed.  When that review session is complete have the groups swap roles and allow the second group to present and be reviewed for 20 to 30 minutes.

Once both the review sessions are complete, pass out the follow-up questions.  Have students begin to answer the questions on their own and begin a class discussion.   At the end of class have students turn in a copy of the feedback they received from the other group and their follow up questions.
