Midterm Grades
As of 10/19/07
The exams will count for 60% of your final grade. The midterm is worth 40% of the exam grade, the final 60%. That means the midterm is .40 *. 60 = 24% of your grade. So if you did poorly you don't need to panic, there is plenty of time to improve your course grade.
The exam with answers is posted on the exams page.
You have one week (until 10/29/07) to contest the grading of this exam. If you do not talk to me or send me email within that week, I will assume that you think I have done a fair and accurate job of grading your exam and you will lose your right to contest the grade.
If you are unclear about how I graded a question, or if you think I made a mistake, please talk to me. However, do not change your answers. I randomly copy several exams. If you change your answers and I happen to have copied your exam, I will give you a 0 for the exam and report the matter to student judicial affairs.
**The letter grades listed below are approximate. I will
assign a single letter grade for the midterm+final. I provide
this approximate grade to show you how I might assign letter grades
at the end of the semester.
