Midterm 1 Grades
As of 03/10/08

The exams will count for 50% of your final grade.  Each midterm is worth 30% of the exam grade, the final 40%. That means this midterm is .30*.50 or 15% of your grade.  So if you did poorly you don't need to panic, there is plenty of time to improve your course grade.

The exam with answers is posted on the  exams page.

You have one school week (until 03/25/08) to contest the grading of this exam. If you do not talk to me or send me email within that week, I will assume that you think I have done a fair and accurate job of grading your exam and you will lose your right to contest the grade.

If you are unclear about how I graded a question, or if you think I made a mistake, please talk to me.  However, do not change your answers.  I randomly copy several exams.  If you change your answers and I happen to have copied your exam, you will fail the class and I will report the matter to student judicial affairs.


**The letter grades listed below are approximate.  I will assign a single letter grade for the midterms+final (the midterms are worth 30% each, the final 40%).  I provide this approximate grade to show you how I might assign letter grades at the end of the semester.
