Welcome
Help With Course Articulation
To see if your courses from other California schools will articulate to CSU Chico's program do the following:
- Go to http://www.assist.org
- Choose Start Assist
- Select California State University, Chico, the year for the catalog you are under (if unsure, simply keep the current year) hit Continue
- Select the school from which you took the classes that you are considering and hit Continue
- Select the major you are considering. Since our Computer Science - General, Systems and Math Science Options are not that different, the choice between three doesn't matter as much. However, the Computer Information Systems has a few minor differences. Hit Continue
- You should see a screen with comparable courses between CSU Chico's CSCI department and your institution.
If the course you are interested in is listed, we have an agreement. If it is not listed, it probably means that it does not compare properly for transfer OR that the course you are considering is an upper-division course. Only lower division courses (CSU Chico courses will numbers less than 100) can be transferred from junior colleges
Note that the institutions listed are only Junior Colleges and CSU institutions (no UC). Your University of California classes may very well transfer (as will upper-division CSU courses and 4-yr out-of-state university courses), but we look at these individually. The materials we would need to see to determine if these would transfer for specific courses here would be a catalog description of the course and the course syllabus/outline.
Good luck
